DEARNE VALLEY LINE
(Sheffield - Rotherham - York)

Join us for this unique journey as we ride with an ex-LMS Jubilee Class Steam Locomotive along the Dearne Valley Line in Yorkshire.

Starting from Sheffield, we pass through a series of tunnels and cuttings before turning left away from the junction for the line to Lincoln. We continue north passing through Rotherham and Bolton-upon-Dearne, seeing visible remnants of the railway's past with abandoned stations and sidings tell us a story. After switching to former LNER metals at Ferrybridge, we speed away before running alongside the mainline from Leeds at Church Fenton and running into York.

With live sound recorded from the locomotive, we bring the action right to you. This program also features on-screen locations titles, lineside shots and commentary.

Locomotive Featured: LMS ‘Jubilee’ Class, No. 45690 ‘Leander’.

Running Time: 1 hour 15 minutes (75 minutes)
