An
exciting journey awaits us as we tackle the ups and downs of the
Cornish Mainline, onboard one of Sir William Stanier’s mighty LMS
Princess Royal Class Locomotives. On this historic run, she becomes the
first ever LMS Pacific to work from Penzance. From here, we
begin our journey east and get to grips with the steep gradients &
challenging weather conditions of this scenic stretch of railway. We
tackle the climbs to Camborne & Redruth, Grampound Road, Burngullow
& Largin. Once conquering these banks, along with crossing over the
many viaducts, we gently sail across Brunel’s famous Royal Albert
Bridge, crossing the boarder into Devon, and to our final destination,
Plymouth.
A bonus feature also includes lineside sequences taken
over the two days between London & Penzance on September 17th &
20th 2016.
With live sound recorded from the locomotive, we
bring the action right to you. This program also features commentary
(including driver's commentary), titles & locations.
