- 70013 'OLIVER CROMWELL' working on the Midland Mainline, also seen later in the year working the 'West Somerset Explorer' over the Berks & Hants route.

- 70000 ' BRITANNIA' returning to the Mainline for the first time since 1997, seen on its loaded test run, its inaugural run from Ocford - Canterbury & also London - Stratford Upon Avon.

- 34067 'TANGMERE' returning to the Mainline after an extensive overhaul. Seen on various workins along LSWR metals throughout the year.

- 5043 'EARL OF MOUNT EDGCUMBE' demonstrating some dramatic performances in the Lancashire Hills, seen on Miles Platting, Diggle and Copy Pit. Also seen working s special to Bristol over the Berks & Hants route.

- 5029 'NUNNEY CASTLE' on the Great Britain IV over the Welsh Marches and the Berks & Hants route, and seen later in the year on a epic run from Bristol to Par viewed from 15 different locations.

- Black 5 45305 & 70013 'OLIVER CROMWELL' on the Great Britain IV from Bristol - Penzance and seen returning a week later.

- Black 5's 45407 & 44871 on the Cathedrals Explorer over the Central Wales Line featuring Kncklas Viaduct and the climb to Sugar Load and the final section from Carmarthen to London.

- 60019 'BITTERN' running as sister engine 4492 'DOMINION OF NEW ZEALAND' (in LNER Garter Blue and with valances) seen working over the Surrey Hills plus also a London - Cardiff special including scenes in the Severn Estuary taken near the site of the old Severn Railway Bridge, and a powerful climb of Sapperton Bank.

- 46115 SCOTS GUARDSMAN' on home territory performing its finest ever run up Shap.

- 8F 48151 seen on the steep 1 in 52 climb out of Weymouth unassisted
